Therapeutic Supports


The support provided by Ade Care social workers and counselling services focus on improving the emotional, social, and mental well-being of participants. These supports aim to help participants manage life challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall mental health, enabling them to live more fulfilling lives.
Social Worker Services:
* Emotional and Social Support: Our social workers provide emotional support, helping participants navigate personal challenges related to their disability, such as adjusting to life changes, managing stress, and building resilience.
* Advocacy and Case Management: AdeCare social workers assist participants in accessing community resources, services, and entitlements. We can advocate on behalf of participants to ensure they receive appropriate supports, helping them navigate complex systems like housing, healthcare, or legal assistance.
* Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis, AdeCare social workers provide immediate support and guidance, helping participants manage difficult situations, such as family breakdowns, domestic violence, or other emergencies.
* Building Social Connections: Our social workers help participants develop social skills, build healthy relationships, and engage with their communities. This can reduce isolation and improve participants’ overall quality of life.
* Goal Setting and Planning: Mostly, our social workers support participants in setting and achieving personal goals, such as improving social participation, gaining independence, or accessing education and employment opportunities.

 

Counselling Services:

* Mental Health Support: AdeCare has a Counselling service that help participants address mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma, through talk therapy. This service aims to improve emotional well-being and equip participants with coping strategies.
* Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): AdeCare utilises amongst; CBT is a common therapeutic approach used in counselling to help participants identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviours. It empowers participants to develop healthier thinking habits and responses to stress.
* Grief and Loss Counselling: We offer this support that helps participants cope with grief, loss, or major life transitions, offering a safe space to express emotions and develop strategies for healing and moving forward.

* Family and Relationship Counselling: We use Counselling to address family dynamics or relationship challenges, helping participants improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen bonds with loved ones.
* Building Resilience and Self-Esteem: AdeCare uses Counselling which focuses on building participants’ resilience, self-esteem, and emotional regulation skills, helping them manage daily challenges and feel more confident in navigating life with their disability.

* Personalised Counselling Plans: Regularly, counselling is tailored to each participant’s mental health needs, helping participant to work through issues at their own pace with ongoing support.
Social Work Advocacy and Resources: Our social workers team can help each participant access resources, advocate for their rights, and provide guidance on navigating complex systems.
* Crisis and Conflict Resolution: The availability of social workers and counsellors to provide immediate support during crises or to help resolve conflicts in participants’ personal lives is available as required. 
* Empowerment and Coping Strategies: Our services aim to empower participants with coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and help them build healthier relationships and social connections.

 

A participant dealing with anxiety and social isolation might benefit from regular counselling sessions to address their mental health and learn coping strategies.
